REFLECTION

          This second grading of our I.C.T. subject, the lessons are became more interesting because of the topic and hands-on. I didn’t expect that there would be a practice teacher in this subject but then thanks to her because if she wasn’t our practice teacher, maybe we can’t follow the other lessons because sometimes, our subject teacher has an important things to do like meetings, practices and others.

          As usual, my classmates are still noisy and some are braggarts as always. I expected that I with my group mates would pass our project on time because we did it earlier unlike others that they just do it in last minute. No offense to others but that’s true.

          Probably, I expected that our teacher loss its patience and temper for us because we’re too much. We used her time for another subject in using projects. We truly sorry for that and promise maybe not to do it again.

          Expected from me? Well I really don’t know. Maybe I’m lazier to do things like our activities, assignments and especially my blogs. Hope my grade will not decrease so that my mother would not jeer on me and say “apay nalalaing met ni kastoy ngem sikan?”

          

English Month Celebration

          English is the universal language so everybody must know how to speak using this. There are different languages or dialects that are used by different people but then they can communicate with one language and that is English.

          This month of October, we are celebrating the English Month with the theme, “Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence”. This theme highlighted the importance of English in our daily lives especially those who are call center agents, teachers, government employees and others.

          In connection to the celebration, schools are conducting a lot of activities like spelling bee, extemporaneous speaking, declamation, oration and others. With these activities, English proficiency was enhanced.

          English proficiency may use for the progress of the nation but always bear in mind that you must still use your own language as a sign of your nationalism and patriotism.

Science Month Celebration

           There are times nowadays that there are brownouts or blackouts in some places. Maybe because of many houses that are connected and the transformer can’t distribute current to all of them already. 
            This month of September, we are celebrating the Science Month with the theme, “Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy”. This theme emphasizes the conservation of energy of all people especially those who are in the companies or factories.
            In the news, there are people who are making illegal connection to the transformer. They take others connection but probably they don’t pay and the one who is aggravate is the one who’s paying. That’s just a big issue for those who can relate.
            As a student, I can help in conserving energy by not overusing the appliances if not important. I would less charge my cell phone and watch television only when needed. Being a person, I have a responsibility to help for the conservation of energy and I know that I would suffer too if there is a current problem.

My Teacher, My Hero

          As I enter our classroom for fourth year, I met our adviser. Her name is Mrs. Elizabeth Quitoriano. My first impression to her is she was so strict and would not allow us to have practice when we join a school base competition but then it seems not.

            One morning when we’re having a class, she made a joke for us then all of a sudden we felt that we are all laughing already that it seems to disturb the other classes. When we’re participating a contest, she allows us to have practice and give a moral support for us.

          Before, when we’re noisy, she always have sermon to us but now no more. It’s like she was already used in that trait of us. One time when we’re having our periodic test and we’re that very serious and are focus of what we are answering, suddenly, she said that Enzo Martinelli is watching us. When we already catch it up, we’re all laughing again because the one she had said was the printed picture of Enzo Martinelli who we get the name of our section.

          Having her as our adviser is really great. We enjoyed a lot those days that we’re having our discussions. We had a lot of so much fun with her jokes that are not corny and “havey” as we call it. In behalf of her being strict teacher and wants our discipline always, inside and outside, she’s good person and very joyful, kind and other good traits that she have.

           Maybe after this year, we’ve already forgot the topics that we discuss but the lessons and good morals that we learned from her will remain in our heart and mind. And in that way, I can now count her as a hero.

My Modern Hero

                     We all know that there are so many heroes now. There were heroes from past and present days, powerful or just an ordinary person, an adult or even a kid. There were lot of heroes but there is one that I admire and being proud of. It’s my mother who I include to be a hero.

          In the morning, she prepares everything that we.re going to use. She does household chores when I can’t do it. She looks for some side-line works so that she can find extra money for us to use because sometimes we’re lack of money because of so many things, bills and other commodities that we’re paying. Even though it’s just a simple way, even if she doesn’t sacrifice her life for others just like what the other heroes usually did, she still does a heroic thing because she would do everything just for us.

          Being a hero is not just sacrificing your own life just for the whole universe. It’s just being good, kind, responsible or just has all the good traits. Having a clean and golden heart, helpful to others when somebody needs is just being a hero.

          There were so many heroes especially from the early times. They were mark in the history. They have done something heroic. Nowadays, or at this present time, there were still heroes who are there to help just like my mother, now I can say that she is my modern hero.

            

Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino

Language is the organized system of speech used by human beings as a means of communication among themselves. There were so many dialects here in the Philippines but there’s only one language used to communicate with others.

As a Filipino, I’m proud of what our heroes did for us in making our country free from foreign conquerors in the early times. Thanks to President Manuel L. Quezon, in December 30, 1937, because of him Filipinos owned again its freedom from the conquerors.

Through different dialects, people in a particular area understand each other. They communicate each other through dialects like Iloko, Ibaloy, Kankanaey, Pangalatok, Pangasinense, Cebuano and others. They have different dialects but they can communicate with each other through Filipino Language.

Filipino language is not only for communicating with others but it can also help us and our country to make on its peak. Our language is a mark of the country. Filipinos now can do whatever they want to make our own country a good influence to others. And express the true essence of the theme “Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino.

What I Learned and Discovered?

          As I enter the room, there I learned and discovered about blog and how to blog about a certain topic that was given to me. It’s awesome because I discovered that the blogger is like the most popular social networking “facebook”. There, I can blog what I want to say, make chat to my friends and other happenings around blogger.

          In this kind of topic, I learned a lot but there were problems to that I encountered and engaged. Sometimes, I got problem in blogging because I don’t know where to start, how to change design and other complicated things. But as time goes by, I can now manage it. Thanks to my some classmates and especially to my teacher.

          Moving on, I will make my blogs more efficient and effective so that many people will try to read and make some compliment and comments for it. I’ll make my responsibilities now. And of course, I’ll control my mouth not to talk loud that can make noise.

Insights for the SONA

            Last July 23, 2012, the State of the Nation Address of President P-Noy was successfully hold at the Session Hall of the House of Representatives, Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City. But unfortunately, outside, there were lot of rally and great rumpus between the police and the people who are rallying.

            P-Noy implemented and told about all his projects and improvements of Philippines. Now I’m satisfied because there were changes that has already implemented. Some of the poor people were now living good and the percentage of poor people decreases and it was already something seven percent.

            The benefits for the sick people were now given to them. For the veterans, they were all given pensions as a reward for them for being one of the fighters in the World War II.

            Nowadays, there were viruses and diseases that were scattered along Philippines. P-Noy implemented also the mosquito traps to avoid and prevent dengue because there were so many cases of dengue in every municipality. Many people especially children were dead just because of dengue.

            Some people said that this was the best SONA of P-Noy as of now. I agree to them because I think that this was the best too. This is because he told all about the projects, improvements and other good points for the Philippines. 

Vegetable for Meal Time

            Nowadays, there were foods that were scattered everywhere that are nutritious anymore. Foods at the streets that it seems to be contaminated with bacteria. Children would prefer eating junk foods than nutritious foods. These things must have changed for the sake of one and all.

          In connection to the Nutrition Month Celebration with a theme “Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin, Araw-araw itong ihain”, everyone must bear in mind the meaning of this. Everybody must concern and promote vegetables as a main dish every meal time. It helps our body to boost enough energy everyday tasks we do. Children who eat vegetables in daily serving makes them grow fast and healthy and for the adults, it will prolong their life and help them cure their illnesses.

          Different vegetable contains a lot of vitamins like vitamin A, B, C, and others. Vitamin A can help our eyes see clearer and makes our skin flawless. Vitamin B helps our escape from different diseases and illnesses as what with vitamin C.

          Everybody needs these foods. Without these, perhaps everyone was malnourished. People eat vegetables to be healthy and energetic every day. Serve these foods daily specially meal times.

Dear President Benigno Aquino III,

          Before, when you're still campaigning for the position of being a president, I like you already for the being in that position. I know that you can do it for the best of all. Even though I still can't vote, I'm supporting you.

          Now I'm disappointed because some of the news about your administration contains bad things. In my own opinion, I know that you're not still giving your best but I know that you will do your duties for the sake of the body.

          At present, I know that you introduce the K+12 System. For me, this system is good for the students like me even though some says no. This is essential because all graduates senior highs school can find jobs already. It helps parents too because it lessens their expenses for the schooling of their children.

          I'm not taking it serious when news is all about your love life but definitely it's not good for others. For me, you must prioritize first the problems about Philippines and quarrels to the other countries especially to China regarding to the Spratlys Island. Back to your love life, you can find also a girl for you because you're still a human and you have also needs so I understand you.

          Of all these things, I still respect you for being the President of the Philippines. And being one of your jurisdictions, I promise to help you for the improvement of our country even though I'm only a student.
